Pieces of Evidence Every Week
For this week we got to attend for the first time the flag ceremony of Integrated Laboratory School (ILS). It was such a nice experience, and as an FS student, I was able to observe and learn from it.
For the second week at ILS, we met with our course facilitator, Ma'am Sybel who shared some stories about her past FS students and asked for our reflections during our task in attending the ILS flag ceremony.
This week, I'm glad that we were able to experience this MSPACE 2023. This is also the time we helped parents and students during the preparation and actual event.
This was our last week together with Grade 3 learners. Even in such a short time, I was still thankful to observe their class and helped some of them.
We started our journey for our off-campus Field study. We were introduced to the principal of ICES, Ma'am Villa. and assigned to Ma'am Gabayeron as our resource teacher. Honestly, we were all nervous at that time but we just told ourselves to enjoy our stay in ICES.
This was our second week stay at ICES, for me it was still adjusting and building a connection with each student.
This week, we got the opportunity to observe how they were able to do school programs like school encampments for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and also helped Ma'am Gabyeron in her Sociometric and Sociogram.
I remember this week was quite tiring but then I still enjoyed and learned something new. Because we were tasked to organize test papers for Grade 6. I'm thrilled that at the end of the week, we got to finish the task and lend a hand to the teachers of ICES to lighten their workloads.
For this week, we continued doing the sociometric and sociogram and we were able to celebrate with them in celebrating the United Nations. Nash and Julien were the two who were chosen to represent their section with the country of Bangladesh.
For this week, we had the checking of papers and recording of scores from all the sections that Ma'am Gabayeron handles. In the same week, we got to conduct a PHIL-IRI to Grade 6 Roxas.
For this week, we started to prepare for our Final Demo teaching. Our set-up was we are divided into a pair and a triad, a pair will have their demo at Grade 6 Roxas while the triad at the SSES which is the other section that Ma'am Gabayeron handles. We also interviewed Ma'am Gabayeron which was needed for our required task in FS2. Through this interview I was able to learn more about her, and how she manages her class.
This week we were both busy doing our required task for both FS course and minor courses. I'm thankful that we got to finish it ontime and had enough time preparing for our final demo.
We had our successful demonstration teaching with Grade 6 Roxas. It was such a wonderful experience and I felt like at last, I got to teach in front of the real students. I realized that seeing the Grade 6 Roxas learned something new from us, I felt like this is what they say about feeling satisfied.
Last December 12, we decided as a group to have our last visit to ICES and at the same time to give a small token to the students and to Ma'am Gabayeron as our appreciation for welcoming us even for a short time.
