Reflections

Albert Jan Gordon

Working on this project is new to me, and it's always good to try new things. To be honest, it is very difficult to create this project because there are factors that affect our ability to complete this assignment. Let's start with the most obvious: only one of us has a laptop to use some creative form in our website, and doing so on a tablet or cellular phone is extremely inconvenient. Second, there is a time conflict; we do not have the luxury of focusing on this project because we have responsibilities in our homes and other subjects. Finally, the loss of power and internet causes my heart to pound, because when this occurs, all files are lost and you must restart your computer. Creating a website is a difficult task that requires patience and perseverance, and we must strive even harder to meet the expectations of others. Or perhaps not, because we are not as perfect as you believe! Anyway, we're having a good time working on this project, and my partner is always communicating with me about it. Nonetheless, working on this project was a rewarding experience that we will remember as we move forward in our lives.

As we progress, we expect to encounter something new that we have never had, done, or used, just like working on this e-portfolio on an unfamiliar platform. But this is just part of our development as we move forward and as part of our journey to learn more and shape our skills. Doing the task on an unfamiliar platform is challenging. I must first familiarize myself with how it works and how to maximize its potential usage. When I am familiar enough with every function and option, I can't help but use and improve the content I place in there. I feel like it's a challenge to make use of the digital and media skills learned in the subject course.

This project is proof that 21st-century skills, primarily digital, media, and information literacy, are critical to learn and master to adapt to the demands of a particular setting quickly. I will ensure that I develop all the skills and literacies learned while working on this project in preparation for future usage.
