How did the projects that were selected get chosen?
How did the projects that were selected get chosen?
Analysis was completed by each WV HEPC University to determine critical need. These projects were prioritized and sent in to the WVSU Board of Governors for approval. Once approved by WVSU Board of Governors the projects were sent the WV HEPC and the Governors office for approval. WVSU was awarded $11.8M for the deferred maintenance in 2023.

Projects are underway starting in 2024. Some projects will be completed in the Summer of 2024 while other projects will take longer to complete based on availability of equipment and resources. Check back frequently on this website to obtain detailed information for each project and it's timeline.

The Governor's office looked at the needs for each institution and determined the funding that would be available to each institution.
How is WVSU selecting Vendors to perform the projects?
How is WVSU selecting Vendors to perform the projects?
WVSU is following purchasing guidelines to select Vendors. If Engineering and Constructions services over $250k are needed each of those projects will go out for EOI. Once EOI services are delivered each project will go out for Bid. All Solicitations for WVSU will be submitted into the wvOASIS system.
