Chromebook won't turn on or charge

  1. Ensure that your charging adapter is properly seated in the wall as well as the device.

  2. Try a new wall outlet that is known to be in working order.

  3. Look for LED indicator light on the device. If amber, or no light is present, allow 30 minutes for the device to charge.

  4. Try a hard reset. This is performed by pressing and holding the “refresh and power” key for 5 seconds. If LED light is present, it will blink once. After a few seconds, try powering the device on again.
