Welcome to Google Drive and Shared Drives! Use this document to start working with your new Google Workspace tools.
Getting started in Google Drive
As we continue to migrate files and folders to Google, you will find your personal files (One Drive & Personal Files) in Google Drive.
Go to drive.google.com to access your files and folders
Modify and organize your files and folders in Google Drive
Share any documents with colleagues if they were previously shared before
Getting started in Shared Drives
If your department or agency utilized a file share or SharePoint site you will find your shared files and folders in a Shared Drive (accessed via Google Drive)
Go to drive.google.com to access your shared files and folders
Navigate to Share Drives - found on the left hand side of your screen
Ensure that you have access to your Shared Drive
If your File Share has migrated to Google, click here to find your Shared Drive.
If your SharePoint site data has migrated to Google, click here to find your Shared Drive.
GMAIL, CALENDAR, AND CONTACTS CHECKLIST

Getting started in Gmail
All Outlook mail and folders (known as “labels” in Gmail) have been migrated to Gmail.
Go to mail.google.com to access your messages and labels
Modify your Gmail settings to your preferred way of working
If you had rules in Outlook, recreate rules as “filters” in Gmail
Check your Spam folder
You may need to mark messages as not spam or create filters to never mark certain messages as spam.Go mobile

Getting started in Google Calendar
All existing events from your Outlook calendar have been migrated to Google Calendar.
Go to calendar.google.com to access your calendar
Modify your calendar settings to your preferred way of working
Recreate recurring meetings
It is recommended to recreate your recurring meetings in Google Calendar to avoid issues with migrated recurring meetings from OutlookSubscribe to any calendars that you need to view in your list of Other Calendars
Next to “Other Calendars” in the bottom left corner, click the + button. Search for colleagues. Your view permission will match what they have given you.
Getting started in Google Contacts
All contacts in your Outlook address book have been migrated to Google Contacts.
Go to contacts.google.com to access your contacts
Create contact groups for individuals that you communicate with often
