Masking Requirements for School Attendance

Masks are no longer required — but are allowed and suggested — for students attending Windsor schools.

Below please find a copy of our Opt Out Form for student COVID testing. This can only be used for students 12 and younger. For students aged 13 and older, the CDPH indicates that “Because SARS-CoV2 is recognized as a communicable disease, which is required to be reported, California state law provides that minors 13 years and older can consent to diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.” The CDPH appears to be relying upon California Family Code Section 6926 in providing this guidance. Therefore, students aged 13 or older are eligible to receive a Covid-19 test without parental consent. The form should be downloaded, signed and returned to your school site.

Do you utilize after school services from the Boys & Girls Club? They have their own set of guidelines and rules for COVID-19, in conjunction with those of the District. From the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma-Marin:

As we all orient to our new realities of contact tracing, quarantine decisions, and vaccine policies, we are sharing few key details. Please read carefully as these details impact our operations on your campuses.

Vaccination Requirement

We require all Boys & Girls Clubs employees to be vaccinated. We have 100% compliance with this policy. Any of our team on your campus is fully vaccinated. Per our MOU with your district, we monitor this compliance on your behalf.

Student Masking

As of Monday, Aug. 29, we require all Boys & Girls Clubs members and staff to wear masks outdoors. We are limiting snack time to 14 minutes and spacing students six feet apart while they eat. Students may take isolated mask breaks outdoors and more than 12 feet from other members.

Student Quarantine

Boys & Girls Club supports the District’s quarantine policies and guidance. If a student is placed on at-home quarantine, we are not allowing them to participate in Club activities. If they are placed on modified quarantine, we are allowing them to attend the Club.

Student Exposure at the Club

When we learn a student has come to the Club positive for COVID-19, BGC will (a) notify the site principal right away and (b) produce a list of close contacts from the Club and share with the school.

It is the school district’s responsibility to decide the appropriate quarantine level, include the Club-identified close contacts in the school notification regarding exposure, answer any parent questions about the quarantine and testing requirements, and notify the Club if you learn a student who is a Club Member tests positive.

Staff Exposure at the Club

If we learn one of our staff comes to the Club positive for COVID-19, BGC will notify the site principal right away, produce a list of close student contacts from the Club and share with the school, and decide the appropriate quarantine level and conduct contact tracing for our staff.

It is the school district’s responsibility to decide the appropriate quarantine level for potential exposed students, include the Club-identified close contacts in the school notification regarding exposure, and answer any parent questions about the quarantine and testing requirements.

A partir del lunes 29 de agosto, requerimos que todos los miembros y el personal de Boys & Girls Clubs usen mascarillas al aire libre. Estamos limitando el tiempo de bocadillo a 14 minutos y separando a los estudiantes seis pies mientras comen. Los estudiantes pueden tomar descansos aislados de la mascarilla al aire libre y a más de 12 pies de otros miembros.

Cuarentena de Estudiantes

Boys & Girls Club apoya las políticas y la guía de cuarentena del Distrito. Si un estudiante es puesto en cuarentena en casa, no le permitiremos participar en las actividades del Club. Si se colocan en cuarentena modificada, les permitiremos asistir al Club.

Exposición de Estudiantes en el Club

Cuando sepamos que un estudiante ha llegado al Club con resultado positivo de COVID-19, BGC (a) notificará al director/a del sitio escolar de inmediato y (b) producirá una lista de contactos cercanos del Club y la compartirá con la escuela.

Es responsabilidad del distrito escolar decidir el nivel de cuarentena apropiado, incluir a los contactos cercanos identificados por el Club en la notificación de la escuela con respecto a la exposición, responder cualquier pregunta de los padres sobre los requisitos de cuarentena y pruebas, y notificar al Club si se entera de un estudiante que es un miembro del Club y da positivo.

Exposición del Personal en el Club

Si nos enteramos de que uno de nuestros miembros del personal llega al Club con resultado positivo de COVID-19, BGC notificará al director/a del sitio escolar de inmediato, producirá una lista de contactos cercanos de estudiantes del Club y la compartirá con la escuela, y decidir el nivel de cuarentena apropiado y realizar un seguimiento de los contactos de nuestro personal.

Es responsabilidad del distrito escolar decidir el nivel de cuarentena apropiado para los estudiantes potencialmente expuestos, incluir a los contactos cercanos identificados por el Club en la notificación de la escuela con respecto a la exposición y responder a las preguntas de los padres sobre los requisitos de cuarentena y pruebas.
