The CDC has released updated Respiratory Virus Guidance in response to the decreasing risk that COVID-19 poses to the population. Current Guidance for Respiratory Viruses: Please adhere to the following guidelines from the CDC for respiratory viruses including COVID-19, Flu, and RSV:
Stay home and away from others when sick with a respiratory virus (such as COVID-19, Flu & RSV) until
Symptoms are getting better, and
Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
When returning to normal activities, additional precautions are recommended over the next 5 days, such as taking additional steps for cleaner air, washing hands with soap and water or using hand sanitizer when water is not available, covering coughs and sneezes, wearing a mask, physical distancing, and getting tested for respiratory viruses.
