¡Bienvenidos!
My name is Señora Ferreiro, and I’m excited to be your Spanish teacher this semester at Colonia High School. This year marks my 23rd year teaching Spanish, and I’m thrilled to continue this journey with you!
As the semester progresses, I look forward to getting to know each of you. I’m a proud graduate of Seton Hall University, where I earned a B.A. in Communications and a Master’s in Education. I also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain, where I completed a program in Language and Culture Studies—and where my love for the Spanish language truly began!
Outside of the classroom, I’m a mom to two college students, both proud graduates of CHS.
I have a deep enthusiasm for the Spanish language and the rich cultures where it is spoken—from the landscapes and food to the music and sports. My goal is to share that passion with you and help you develop a genuine interest and appreciation for the Spanish-speaking world.
I’m looking forward to a fun and successful semester together!
