Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means taking your time to really notice what you're doing. Taking your time, you bounce the ball a couple of times. You tune out all the other sounds and take your shot.
Slow, calm, deep breathing can help us relax, manage stress, relieve anxiety and depression, and get a good night's sleep, among many other things. Breathing also helps quiet the mind in preparation for meditation.Â
