School social workers provide counseling support and services to students who are struggling with emotional, behavioral, academic or social issues that may be interfering with their school work or impacting peer and family relationships. Social workers assist students, families, staff and the community with appropriate resources to provide services that will help a student succeed academically.
More importantly, we WANT to meet with you. We support you and want to see you achieve success in school and beyond! We are your biggest fan and believe you were made for a purpose and are able to accomplish great things. Let us join you!

I really enjoy getting to know students and helping them work through challenges—whether they’re social, emotional, or academic. ABOUT ME: Hello! I have been a social worker at Warren for 15 years, primarily providing services to the students in our special education programs at Almond, O’Plaine and within our Transition Program. The unique aspect of my social work position is that I have been able to work with some of my students from the time they start at Warren as 9th graders, to the time they exit Warren as a Transition student, which is the day before they turn 22. I have loved being able to see how these students grow and change over the years. I assist students in developing their social, problem-solving, self-advocacy, anger management, decision making, and community readiness skills. I am also a sponsor for Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), which is a social club for students with and without disabilities.
Outside of school, my 3 daughters (ages 2, 7 and 9) keep my husband and I on our toes, but we also enjoy spending time with extended family, friends, and traveling when possible.

ABOUT ME: Hey there! This is my 7th year here at Warren (my first year I was an intern here). I hold a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in school social work and international social work from Dominican University. I previously studied, interned, and lived abroad in Nairobi, Kenya where I met my husband and bonus daughter. I also had a baby recently in April 2025. I enjoy working with (and learning from) teenagers who come from all different backgrounds. Here at WTHS my role is to help support students through social or emotional issues they might be having, as well as teach social emotional learning (SEL) skills to students. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you need any social/emotional support or have any questions, comments, or concerns.
