The objective behind volunteering at Student Events is two fold.
Firstly, most student events are run by volunteer teachers. Teachers not only need to manage preparing students for an event, but many times need to coordinate the logistics of the event as well. Teachers from across the state work together to facilitate and make the events successful.
Second, volunteering allows Student Ambassadors an opportunity to network and coordinate with students and adults from other schools, programs, and industry.
Please Note:
While volunteering at an event, it is important that ambassadors inform their event coordinator that the hours are going to be used towards a teaching ambassador program. Your duties at the events should be closely aligned with tasks similar to what a teacher would be doing at these events.
