Expectations
These expectations have been established to maintain an environment that is welcoming and open to all.
Be respectful of fellow students, faculty, library property, and personal property at all times.
Students coming to the library must sign in. This ensures that library staff has an accurate record in case of evacuation or other emergency.
Students using the library during a regular class period must report with a signed pass.
Library books have a borrowing period of 2 weeks. If you need more time with a book, see Ms. Forfa for a renewal. There are no late fees for overdue books. Lost, damaged, or missing items will be billed to the student and must be paid before graduation.
The library is open during all lunches for students seeking a quiet place to read, study, or relax. All regular library rules apply. Each lunch is capped at 30 students to maintain an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. The library reserves the right to close during a lunch period in order to accommodate classes, testing, or special events.
Food is not allowed.
Desktop computers are reserved for academic use only. Students must abide by the district's Acceptable Use Policy.
In consideration of the learning environment, students should keep their voices at a reasonable volume. Headphones are required for watching video and listening to music. Phone calls should be taken into in the hallway.
After a verbal warning, any student in violation of these rules will be asked to leave the library. Repeat offenses will result in loss of library privileges and possible disciplinary action.
