Second Grade Week 33-Last One!!!!

June 7-14

Our last slides for the year! Do you like my Harry Potter all houses common room? We have some fun activities planned with some of the teachers from Academy School this week. Let's have fun!

Second Grade Week 32

June 1-4

It is a short week! We don't have a meeting on Tuesday but I will see everyone on Wednesday at 9:00. You have some letters to try writing this week!.

Second Grade Week 31

May 24-28

We have a fun week planned! Don't forget to look for the moon at night and fill in your moon journal. We also have 2 field trips to school this week. Yay!

Second Grade Week 30

May 17-21

We will begin to plan our school garden this week, listen to a star gazing story and another Cinder tale. You may also decorate your wands!

Second Grade Week 29

May 10-14

It is moon week! We will study the ways the moon changes this week and have some fun activities with second grade at our extra meetings!

Second Grade Week 28

May 3-7

We are adding some fun activities to our theme this week! I look forward to seeing your recipes, experiments an other work! Do you have a favorite Star Wars character for May the 4th?

Second Grade Week 27

April 26-30

I hope you had a nice break! We will continue to listen to Harry Pottter and Cinder stories as part of our fairytale theme. Mrs. Oliver will meet with everyone on Thursday and Friday at 10:30.

Second Grade Week 26

April 12-16

We will continue our study of plants this week and we will add Cinder stories to our fairytale theme. We will also have some fun using maps to find where in the world the stories take place. Check out the new cooking video too-we will try to use all of the parts of a plant to make a snack!

Second Grade Week 25

April 5-9

We will begin to learn about plants and read a few different fairytales this week!

Second Grade Week 24

March 29- April 2

It is Little Red Riding Hood Week! You will help Red by making a clear map for her to follow the next time she goes on a trip!

Second Grade Week 23

March 22-26

It is Three Little Pigs Week! You need to build 3 small houses out of the popsicle sticks and straws from your supply kit and a 'brick' house out of supplies at home by our Friday meetings to get ready for our Lab Experiment!

Week 22 3/15 Second Grade

March 15-19

You have new supply sets. We will begin to study Fairy tales this week with Goldilocks and the Three Bears stories. Start to notice what features many fairy tales have in common!

Second Grade Week 21&22

March 3-12

I hope everyone had a nice break! This slide show is for the next week and a half. We will begin a chapter book together. You will use your last packet from your folder this week.

Second Grade Week 20

February 15-19

We will finish up our bird study together this week. The 100th day of school is also on Tuesday. Wednesday many of you are joining me at school for a winter fun day!

Second Grade Week 19: 2/8-2/12

February 8-12th

We have two holidays to learn about this week and we will continue to study birds. I can't wait to see your birdhouse!

Second Grade Week 17&18 1/28

January 28- February 5th

It is our new semester! We will meet in the mornings with the second grade for the next couple of weeks AND begin check in meetings with Mrs. Cusimano.

Second Grade Week 16 1/19

January 19-22

It is the last week of our first semester! We have 2 new stories and 2 new writing assignments. Check out Epic, I posted a collection of stories about Martin Luther King Jr. I look forward to seeing everyone this week!

This is a sample schedule for what you could do this week. Class meetings are the one must do this week to be counted for attendance. Please email me if you cannot make it. The work schedule is very flexible! The work is in your Week 3 packet. Please consider this a guide-if it feels like too much, skip an activity, if it isn't enough add in a journal writing activity from the pink calendar.
