The WSD is excited to enter into a partnership with Ranken Technical College to offer students the opportunity to utilize dual enrollment. Students completing this 1st year of a program during their senior year of high school, will be recognized by Ranken as having earned college credit. Program Costs:
Ranken will be financially responsible for the registration fee, two (2) uniform shirts, tools supplied for student use, tutoring, Ranken ID badge and clip.
Student receive half off the tuition of courses at Ranken
Students will be financially responsible for student fee, books, testing fee, laptop cost (if applicable), transportation and half the cost of the tuition.

Students are responsible for providing their own transportation. No WSD transportation will be provided.

Selection Process:
Step 1:
Students must complete the online Ranken application by Friday March 6, 2026.
Step 2:
Students must notify their counselor of the application so they can accurately create their schedule for next year.
Step 3:
Once all student applications are processed, students will receive official notification of
their enrollment status in the program. Enrolled students will receive a comprehensive
checklist including next steps for onboarding at Ranken and scheduling of courses.
Students must be able to complete these steps independently in collaboration with Ranken. WSD counselors are not involved in this process.
Important Information:
Students will earn 1.5 high school credits per semester for the Ranken Program.
Students MUST maintain a 95% attendance rate throughout the course; if a student's attendance falls far enough below a 95% attendance rate that a student cannot average 95% attendance, the student will be removed from the program.
Students will be expected to exhibit professional behavior at all times; failure to do so may result in removal from the program
Professional standards include wearing appropriate attire, avoiding phone use during class, using respectful communication with staff and classmates, and demonstrating teamwork.
Students will need to complete 3-5 hours of out of class work per week.
Students who are removed from the program due to behavior or attendance will be subject to WSD procedures for schedule changes and dropped classes, which may include receiving a failing grade for the Ranken Program on the student's final transcript.
