The CNA Program is held at the Regional Workforce Innovation Center
This course is 4 periods, but only worth 1.5 credits.
Students must:
Be in senior standing for the 2025–2026 school year
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (or be within close range)
Students slightly below a 2.5 GPA may be considered if they demonstrate progress and are on track to graduate
Be on track to graduate
Be in good standing with WSD
Students must have a 95% attendance at their home school
Extenuating circumstances will be considered
Students must maintain a 95% attendance rate while enrolled in the CNA Program
Attendance expectations apply to:
CNA coursework
Clinical placements
Home high school attendance
**Students who cannot mathematically achieve a 95% attendance average in the CNA program will be removed from the program
Students are expected to demonstrate professional behavior at all times, including:
Adhering to healthcare dress codes and safety standards
Professional communication with instructors, peers, and clinical staff
Responsible phone use
Demonstrating maturity, reliability, and ethical behavior
Failure to meet professional expectations may result in removal from the program.
Students must be able to provide their own transportation to and from:
The CNA program site
Clinical locations
Their home high school daily
15 CNA students per semester- total 30 (Seniors ONLY)
Negative TB test results are required.
Students are required to be able to pass a urine drug screening
