Leading our Grade 12 returning players are Shukuru M – A lightning quick player who’s even quicker to jump to a call for social activism. Josh B is the rare combo of guard and center. His thundering two hand dunks are to be as feared as his mid range floaters are to be respected. Chan O. (6ft post) and Hussein S. (5’5 guard), are best friends and together are also known as Taco Tuesday! These guys though only being in grade 10 can fill up a stat sheet as quickly as they can fill their bellies with tacos.

The Elmwood Giants play an old school gritty style of basketball. If the Giants rolled into the gym with some lunch pails and a punch clock you wouldn’t be surprised. Often outmatched and undersized the Giants aren’t scared to leave it all on the court and have fun doing it.

Last year the Giants defied the odds and had a shocking run to their league championship! They followed that up by finishing 4th at provincials. This year the Giants are hoping for another league playoff appearance and to grace the cover of the new NBA 2k.
