Small Group Topics

Grades: K-2

Group size:  3-6 Students (own grade)

Group times:   Once a week, 20-30 minutes

               (Time determined by teachers)

Topics:

Week One:  I’m Awesome!

Week Two:  If Someone is Mean

Week Three: Coping Skills

Week Four: I am Kind

Week Five:  When I’m Angry

Week Six: Angry Meters

Week Seven:  I can be a Leader!

Week Eight:  Celebration!

Students will be making a book with reflections sheets to bring home and share with parents at the end of the Group. Each group begins with a short “Share about your week” followed by a review of the group rules and then our mini lesson.   Students who follow the group rules will be allowed to choose a small treat or prize each week.

Group Rules:

1-      Stay in Seat

2-      Raise hand to Participate

3-      No Put-Downs… Only Put-Ups
