Resource for Parents
Parents can provide invaluable support for their children's mental health. Often parents don't know what to say or how to talk their kids about difficult topics -- suicide ideation, depression, anxiety and many other things that our children are facing today. For that reason Hope Squad is partnering with ParentGuidance.org to ensure that every parent has access to quality education and information from mental health professionals.
Too often, parents can’t find accurate information for the specific question they have about parenting and mental health. ParentGuidance.org is an online, on-demand resource where parents can get trusted support and real help for their children. ParentGuidance.org is provided by the Cook Center for Human Connection, a nonprofit foundation, at no-cost to schools or parents.
With ParentGuidance.org your school gives parents:
No-Cost Online On-Demand Courses taught by licensed Mental Health Professionals
A District-Wide Introductory Family Mental Health Night hosted by experts
Access to “Ask a Therapist” user submitted questions and clinician responses
