What is a Green Screen?
A green screen is a technique that involves adding visual effects or filming a person in front of solid color. It is mainly used by professionals to add special effects in videos or images. The green screen enables you to add a background of your choice behind actors.
Our physical Green Screen is available upon request for teachers and students to use for class projects. Film your video in front of the Green Screen with your phone or Chromebook. Be sure to consider some of the Tech Tips provided in the Getting Started handout to the right:
On your phone, an App (there are many free ones and ones that charge a fee) must be downloaded to your cell phone to edit and produce your final video . This article, 25 Best FREE Green Screen (Chroma Key) Software & Apps in 2021 has a nice selection of resources.
On your Chromebook, WeVideo has a green screen filter that allows you to produce your final video with your desired back ground.

This allows the creator to imagine, and bring to life, interactive clothing, accessories, or other textile-based products. This may include a small bear with eyes that light up, a purse with a handle that changes color when touched, or a temperature sensitive lighting pattern in a clothing item.
