This month we:
Investigated Ocean Ecosystems
Learned how plastics break down in the ocean.
Identified how plastic negatively affects living organisms in the ocean.
Established criteria for a successful plastic filter design and consider the ways they will be limited. In their design groups, students examine how materials for their filters behave in water.

This month we:
Began our STEM semester and reviewed rules and procedures.
Worked in teams to strengthen communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity skills. We applied the engineering design process as we investigated, planned, created, tested, and water tower designs.
