GRADES K - 2
Students in Grades K-2 will finish up working on skills using Balloons, and complete Non-Locomotor Skill work. After April vacation students will begin working on hand/eye coordination using playground type balls
At the end of March, students in Grades 1-2 will begin working on the Fitness Challenges - Low Plank, 1 Leg Sit & Reach and the P.A.C.E.R. Students in Grade K will complete the P.A.C.E.R. and be introduced to the 1 Leg Sit & Reach and Low Plank. All will be completed in April
GRADES 3 - 4
For the first 2-3 classes in March, students will finish up participating in Team Building/Movement Games. For the next four classes in March, students will use class time to complete fitness workouts. The fitness workouts students choose will be based on the the S.M.A.R.T goal each student made in November 2025. The workouts will consist of using body weight exercises along with fitness equipment (TRX and/or Sandbells) exercises in an attmept to meet the goals they made. Students will also renew skill work from Jan/Feb using throwing/catching skills as they relate to the sport of Ultimate and/or other Team Building/Movement Games.
At the end of March, students will begin completing the Fitness Challenges. This includes the following:
P.A.C.E.R. - Cardiovascular Endurance
Push-ups - Upper body muscle strength/endurance
Low Plank - Core muscle strength/endurance
1 Leg Sit & Reach - Flexibility
After April Vacation, students will work on skills as they relate to the sport of Basketball
