In March 2024, students in Grades 5 - 8 will finish up participating in games that get their heart rate up and work on teamwork.  As in December 2023, they will once again use class time to complete fitness workouts.   The workouts students choose will be based on the the S.M.A.R.T goals each student made in November 2023.  The workouts will consist of using body weight exercises along with fitness equipment (TRX and/or Sandbells) exercises in an attmept to meet the goals they made.   

In late March and into April 2024, students in Grades 5 - 8 will be completing the Fitnessgram Fitness Challenges.  This includes the following:

P.A.C.E.R. - Cardiovascular Endurance

Push-ups - Upper body muscle strength/endurance

Curl-ups - Core muscle strength/endurance

1 Leg Sit & Reach - Flexibility

Trunk Lift - Flexibility

Also in April, students will begin working on skills related to the sport of Football
