Liljedahl's book Building Thinking Classrooms shares his years of research into teaching practices that increase students' thinking in classrooms. The practices help teachers increase student engagement, promote problem-solving, and observe and respond to students' learning in ways that allow everyone to have access to high level thinking and learning. While the title of the book includes "in Mathematics", the practices can be applied easily across all subject areas.
