Reading Resources

Great literacy resources:

WRDSB's Library Learning Commons - you have access to Pebble Go, Tumblebooks, OverDrive etc. Look under Elementary for options that will best fit your child. You need to sign in with your child's username/password (I emailed this to you in the first week of school). **Please note that the URL changed Oct. 28.

If you would like an overview on how to use the site and what's available, watch the video below:

Epic! is also another choice for online reading. I created an account for each child. Go HERE to access it. I will email you with the password once you have filled in the permission form I sent on October 1st.

Your child can go on anytime during the day from 7am - 4pm using the student log in. In addition, they can go on for a maximum of 2 hours (for the whole week) after these hours, but a parent needs to sign up with their email. Below are the instructions on how to log in using a Laptop (pic 1) or an iOs, Android device (pic 2).

Raz Kids is another choice for reading in class and for home reading. These books are levelled readers which will allow your child to independently read as well as work through reading strategies. Students can access Raz Kids here and use the same password they use for Epic.
