11/11/23 @ Yale University: Nine brave WHS JCLers departed from their humble abode and marched onwards (with the help of a certain Boston Latin School bus) to wage war in Yale Certamen, with their intermediate group making it to the semifinals before tragically losing to Phillips Academy and Boston Latin. However, their spirits remained uncrushed as they roared in triumph when Boston Latin took home gold. Plenty of ambrosia-like blue cake was shared amongst the two teams as they celebrated each other's friendship. Read more about what WHS JCL did during 2023's Classics Day in our newsletter here!

11/30/23 @ Boston University: WHS JCLers learned about Greco-Roman mental illness, ancient barbecue grills; consumed delicious Caprese sandwiches and massive cookies; anxiously searched for change in their pockets; screamed while doing cartwheels across the stage; and placed 1st in Classics Day's annual skit contest. Battling teams of all levels from Boston Latin, Roxbury Latin, and Montrose, WHS JCL's intermediate team fought its way to the finals and proudly brought home 4th place.
