9/15/23 @ WHS: Starting off this year with a bang, Co-Presidents Ryan and Rebecca suited up in their bedsheet armor and flimsy golden laurels with bags of classically themed goods to WHS's gym in anticipation of WHS's annual club fair. As they waved around flags, signs, and spewed jokes about the Roman Empire, several underclassmen gathered around to listen to the legati speak. By the end, WHS JCL found themselves with several new soldiers in their army.

9/22/23 @ WHS: Following the first meeting of the year, Secretary Chloe, Co-President Rebecca, and Editor Mei tackled JCL’s first fundraising attempts at WHS’s annual Open House and Spirit Fair. Selling the bright red water bottles Magistra DeCamp purchased millennia ago to both parents and students alike, these three toga-wearing Caesar-cosplaying officers managed to raise a hefty chunk of the money the club needed to rent a bus for the Massachusetts Junior Classical League State Convention.

10/15/23 @ WHS: As a yearly tradition, AP Latin students reading The Aeneid celebrated Vergil's 2093rd birthday (October 15th) with cake, party hats, and learning more about who Vergil was as a writer and as a person.

10/28/23 @ WHS: WHS’s JCLers hosted this year’s JCL Kickoff at their very own Winchester High School and welcomed fellow chapter members from Boston Latin School, Roxbury Latin School, Academy at Penguin Hall, and other fellow Massachusetts schools. Read more about our adventure in our Autumnus newsletter here!

10/30/23 @ WHS: Another school tradition! WHS JCLers participated in WHS's annual world language department Halloween party for an evening of costumes, contests, candy, and pumpkin decorating.
