Jackets. Bags. Hoodies. Pants. Shoes. Socks … a little bit of everything goes missing and they all end up in the Lost and Found. We are located on the main floor alcove near the lower west entrance of the Junior School (near the new gym).
Volunteers come when they can on a loose schedule, ideally one person per day to collect, sort, hang and tidy. They empty the Lost and Found bins located at the main entrance to the Junior School and the Lost and Found area.
If items are labeled with a child’s name (please check top and side tags), they can be placed into the marked bins. Those items will be returned to the child’s classroom each week by our Grade 6 & 7 volunteers.
Any unlabeled clothing will be hung on the rack - uniform pieces on one side (like items grouped together) and non-uniform items on the other side.
Any unlabeled shoes and water bottles will be placed on the bookcases next to the west wall.
Hats, gloves and any other small items will be placed in the labeled mesh drawers on the north wall.
Additionally, volunteers display Lost and Found items during the Apparel Committee’s Uniforms in Action sales, generally in September and May. As well, at the end of spring term, there will be a group clean up and display of all the unclaimed items under the Junior School breezeway. Afterwards, we will box up uniform items to be given to the Apparel Committee. All other items will be boxed and donated.

Uniforms in Action sales - clean and transfer unlabeled uniform items to Apparel Committee prior to each sale, and display Lost and Found items during sale.
End of term - a group one-hour clean up/sort, display items in breezeway and box up uniforms and donations.
