Student Support Network

Student Support Network:

Want to know how to help a peer? Not sure what to say? Students are often in the position of trying to be supportive of others. The Student Support Network is WSU’s education and training program for student peer networks that is designed to enhance student well-being and safety on campus. The training provides students with the skills in how to identify and support other students in distress.

SSN is a JED Foundation recognized suicide prevention program and exists on campuses throughout the country. SSN members are peer advocates and not peer counselors.
