Dual Enrollement Credit

If you participated in Advanced Placement (AP) classes and dual enrollment courses at other colleges, you will want to make sure you complete the tasks below.

Earning credit before starting at Worcester State can be beneficial. Depending on the AP tests or college courses you have you completed, you could get credit in your major or towards other graduation requirements. This means it might take you less time to finish your degree, or that you could take fewer courses in some semesters.

To get credit, please follow the steps below.

To receive credit for Advanced Placement exams:

Send WSU an official score report from the College Board. Once we receive the report, and advisor will review your scores, post credit that you earned and email you about any schedule changes that should happen.

You’ll get college credit for any exams that you received a score of “3” or higher. You can see the full list of AP scores and their equivalent WSU credit here. Some AP credit will come in as a specific course or courses at WSU (for example, AP Language and Composition will show as EN 101 and EN 102 credit), and others will come in as general credit (for example, AP Biology will show as 6 science credits).

To receive credit for Dual Enrollment courses or courses completed at other colleges:

WSU will need an official transcript from the college that you took these courses at. You should contact the Registrar’s Office at this school; they can send WSU a transcript to:

Worcester State University

486 Chandler Street

Worcester, MA 01602

After we receive a transcript the classes you took will transfer to WSU, as long as you earned a C-. If you would like to see a list of course equivalencies we currently accept, you can view our list by school here. An advisor will email you about any schedule changes that should happen.
