Year 2 are travelling around The World and looking at different types of art.
Ms Lewis' EAL Group had a Scottish morning, where they created a tartan for their family whilst listening to bagpipe music.
Year 2 have been finding out about The Willow Pattern in their art lessons. Children decorated paper plateds with parts of the story.

Year 2 found out about Tapa, a South Pacific crafting technique. Tapa is made from the dried bark of the mulberry tree and is decorated with earth colours and lines. Tapa is given at birth and when a couple marry. In death a body is often wrapped in tapa. Children designed thie own Tapa.
Autumn Term Art Work
Year 2 are finding out about dragons and castles in their art lessons.
Children made detailed drawings of dragons followed by larger scale drawings with texture added by crayon rubbings.
