Watercolour and pen studies of The Colosseum.

We are in China for the next Year 4 topic, in art lessons we looked at dragons and made watercolour and pen studies.

We found out about The Terracotta Warriors and made some pastel and charcoal studies.

We made our own terracotta warriors and painted them as they would have looked originally.

We had a go at Chinese brush painting, it was very tricky!

Children in Year 4 have been looking at proportioning the body, we then created our own superhero.

Year 4 are looking at artists who portray water- David Hockney's swimming pool paintings, Hokusai's Japanese wave prints and Claude Monet's waterlily pond.

We looked at the Wave Prints of Japanese Artist Hokusai, then designed and made our own 'Great Wave'.
