To understand the scheduling process and truly learn about the offerings, the updated 2026 ~ 27 Program of Studies is linked to the left and will answer most of the questions you may have.

For Students Currently in grades 9 - 11
The Course Requests Portal ~ for students currently in grades 9 - 11 ~ opens on March 13, 2026 ~
Review teacher made Placements
Select desired electives, genre courses or alternate levels in ELA, science or history
Remember to add alternates for selected electives
The Course Request Portal closes on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
Counselors will begin meeting with WMHS students on March 19 to review/finalize requests. Appointments will be posted on the Guidance Bulletin Board near the AP suite and will be shared in the grade level Guidance Google Classrooms.
School Counselors will meet with grade 8 students during the month of April. Appointment options will be offered shortly.
For our Current Grade 8 Students and Families:
Our Grade 8 ~ Scheduling Meeting for Grade 8 Parents will take place on Thursday, April 9 from 6:30 - 8:00 in the WMHS Auditorium.
Students will also be provided with in-class presentations on scheduling for the high school.

Mechanical Drawing is now CAD I: Introduction to Computer-Aided Design
CAD 2 is now CAD II: Intermediate CAD & Digital Prototyping
Architectural Design & Drawing is now CAD III: Advanced CAD & Industry Applications
Introduction to the Behavioral Sciences is now a semester course that will pair well with Sociology
US History 2 Honors has been added as an option among the offerings in the History sequence.
The following courses are returning in 2026-27! Aviation: Pilot Pathways , Creative & Advanced Creative Writing, Criminal Justice, Genocide Studies, Western Civilization Honors, AP Chemistry, Organic Chemistry Honors, Electricity & Electronics
