English 1
In Grade 9, Freshmen engage in an introduction to composition, exploring the fundamentals of good writing, and a close study of the basic genres of literature: fiction, nonfiction, drama, and poetry.
Levels of study include Honors, C & B.
English 2: American Literature
In Grade 10, the literary and compositional focus for Sophomores is the study of American literature through plays, novels, short stories, poetry, essays, and speeches of both traditional and modern American authors and historians.

English 3: British Literature
In Grade 11, Juniors delve into noted British literature, poetry, drama, short stories, novels, and nonfiction. They will continue to hone their writing skills through critical essays, literary analysis, argument, and an extensive research paper on a literary topic.

English 4: World Literature
In Grade 12, Seniors read and analyze world literature in preparation for the collegiate level, through immersion in modern literary criticism (its movements and theories).
