INSTRUCTIONS:
*Note: This process does not work on a school-managed account as the school has put blocks on the extensions that prevent them from loading.
For Download:
Click the button above to download a .zip file that contains all of the files needed to run the extension.
Find the .zip file in your File Explorer. Right click on the file and select "Extract All".
A window will pop up prompting you to create a new folder for the files to be extracted into. It should automatically be named correctly, so select "Extract" to continue.Â
When extraction is completed you will be presented a page with the files used while running the Popcorn Chrome Extension. Do not alter or delete any of the files as doing so could cause the program not to run properly.
For Install:
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click the three vertical dots and then More tools and then Extensions.
In the Extensions Manager Screen, ensure that the toggle in the upper right hand corner for "Developer Mode" is switched on.
Select "Load Unpacked" in the upper left corner and select the folder labeled "Popcorn" that you created when extracting files from the .zip
Errors might occur when loading the files, but they should not have any impact on the performance of the program and can be ignored.
For Use:
Pin the extension to your browser by selecting the puzzle piece by your search bar and clicking the pin next to where it says, "POPCORN".
Click on the icon of the popcorn container next to the search bar.
Open a new window, ensuring that the text box opened when you clicked the icon stays open when you move to the new window.
The process is complete! Watch movies, shop, or work on other assignments while recieving new flashcards to review every 60 seconds!
To turn POPCORN off, simply return to your original window and click out of the text box running the program.
