This project has been discontinued and my attention has shifted to the Popcorn Chrome Extension.
Rotational falls are unfortunately all too common in cross country. Recent efforts have been made by the FEI to implement collapsible jumps, but none of the innovations implemented thus far are without their flaws. Systems using pins, clips, or even collapsible plastic have been put in place, but falls can still happen. In my research project this year I will be investigating these systems & engineering my own. Rotational falls have caused many deaths, both human and equine. Creating safer jumps has the potential to save lives & countless vet/hospital bills. In this way I hope to help bring the sport to a brighter & safer future!
