Regional STEELS Vendor Fair
ARIN Intermediate Unit 28 and Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7 are collaborating on a vendor fair to showcase resources and services that will help local districts meet the new Pennsylvania STEELS (Science, Technology & Engineering, and Environmental Literacy & Sustainability) Standards. This informal event will allow teachers to visit vendor tables in a relaxed environment to preview resources and services, gather information, ask questions, and set up future connections.

Are you a science teacher interested in learning about the new STEELS standards and how to implement them in your classroom? We have an entire professional learning series to offer this year, plus other additional learning opportunities to assist with learning and applying the instructional shifts of the new PA STEELS standards. Level I: Immersive Science Experience is the foundational training of the series. All participants are required to engage in an immersive experience prior to attending other learning opportunities. If you attended an immersive experience elsewhere, that will count as meeting the requirement. Registration for each learning opportunity can be accessed by clicking the links in the document to the left, or, by visiting our registration website: https://reg.learningstream.com/view/view_month.aspx?as=113&wp=466&aid=WIU.

PDE STEELS Hub
In December 2022, PDE launched the STEELS Hub in the SAS portal to support administrators and science educators in learning about the newly adopted PA STEELS standards. You can access the STEELS Hub here. The hub offers a wealth of resources. This locally developed guide can support schools in digging into and discussing the resources available in the STEELS Hub:
