Social & Emotional Wellness
CASEL: Collaborative for Academic, Social, & Emotional Wellness
CASEL is not an SEL program. CASEL strives to support all students' learning and development through evidence-based practices. CASEL has helped grow social and emotional learning (SEL) from a promising theory to an essential part of education. As a nonprofit, nonpartisan leader in SEL, CASEL is uniquely positioned to evaluate programming, curate research, inform legislation, and partner on implementation. CASEL's website includes the following:
Fundamentals of SEL (research, equity, making the case for SEL)
CASEL Framework - a structure for helping schools foster knowledge, skills, and attitudes across five areas of social and emotional competence in an effort to establish equitable learning environments in four key settings that support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
