Michael Perez

Mr. Perez is in his 10th year as a music educator in Weslaco. Bands under his direction have earned Sweepstakes Awards at the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Evaluation, and superior ratings at various South Texas Music Festivals. Mr. Perez serves as the Low Brass Specialist for the Weslaco High School Cluster and is the conductor of the Non-Varsity Concert Band at Central Middle School. 

Mr. Perez also serves as the organizer for the transport of equipment and marching art displays for the award winning Weslaco Panther Corps. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association and Kappa Kappa Psi. 

Earning the highest possible distinctions, Mr. Perez graduated top of his class with the honorary title of Summa Cum Laude from Texas A& M University Kingsville in the Spring of 2011. He holds a decorated Bachelors degree in Music Education. Mr. Perez has since remained a successful music educator in Weslaco ISD. 

Mr. Perez resides in La Feria with his wife Cecilia, and son.
