Role of the Counselors
The School Counselors at Airport Elementary collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students' educational, personal, and social development. They provide individual and small group counseling, along with guidance lessons, focusing on the whole child and emphasizing the importance of social and emotional well-being alongside academic growth.
Leadership and Advocacy
The counselors at Airport Elementary work closely with the administrative team, staff, parents, and community members to promote and advocate for students’ academic success and social-emotional well-being. They provide support to both students and their families, offering personalized assistance to address individual needs. The school counselors spearhead district initiatives such as Red Ribbon Week and Anti-Bullying Prevention Week.
