Apply to attend the Facilitating CAM workshop
Complete the self-education preparatory work in advance of the Facilitating CAM workshop (e.g., readings, reflections, discussion with co-facilitator about practice session)
Participate in our Facilitating CAM workshop to gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively facilitate CAM training, a curriculum developed and tested through NRMN.
Be part of a community of practice (e.g. MyNRMN online community of practice, Facilitators of Culturally Aware Mentoring (CAM) on MyNRMN).
Implement CAM using CIMER evaluation for the first three implementations
Earn recognition as a Culturally Aware Mentoring Trained Facilitator
Be part of a facilitator community of practice,(e.g. Facilitators of Culturally Aware Mentoring (CAM) on MyNRMN.)
Facilitate CAM at least three times at your home institution or organization:
The full CAM curriculum must be implemented
You must use CIMER evaluation, the cost of which is included with CAM facilitator training. Evaluation data from at least 20 participants is required indicating your effectiveness as a facilitator and participant workshop satisfaction;

We strongly recommend preparing all materials in Steps 1-3 before starting the application survey, since the application cannot easily be saved for completion at a later time. Applications are reviewed twice a year.
Download this spreadsheet and list your facilitation experience. If you have facilitated many CAM workshops, you may choose to include only those that best showcase your experience and/or meet the requirements for Certified Facilitator recognition.
Compile evidence of your effectiveness as a facilitator into a single PDF file. This should minimally include evaluation data from training participants. You may also wish to include letters of recommendation, teaching awards, etc.
Write a brief biography (less than 250 words) describing your professional background and interest in being a CAM Certified Facilitator.
Submit the application survey.

CIMER Workshop materials should not be modified without express written permission from CIMER. Please acknowledge CIMER as the source of all materials. Trained and Certified Facilitators are not permitted to charge or collect honoraria/facilitator fees for training events based on the Culturally Aware Mentoring curriculum.
