The home of the Zirkel's at 450 W. Mifflin follows a similar trajectory to the Blied's homes with a smaller and shorting lasting scale. John B. Zirkel was the owner and manager of a grocery store at 109 N. Bassett St. according to the City Directory and was supported by firsthand accounts on Facebook. This home was occupied by John, Albert, and Hattie until her death in 1952, based on the last date we have for the Zirkel's in the home being 1950. After this moment it appears both men went their separate ways, but John retained ownership of the home and rented it out to various families until his death in 1968.
