This is a STEM based activity patterned after the Boy Scouts of America program called Raingutter Regatta.
This project will focus on, creative innovative thinking along with sportsmanship and team building. “I don’t think outside the box. I think of what I can do with the box.” - Henry Matisse.
Participants will have the option of using a variety of materials to make and race the boats. they created. After the boats are ready they will register their boat. Teens will record the energy used to move the boat and how fast it traveled on an inflatable water filled tract. Results will be posted indicating the type of material used to build the boat and the energy used to power the boat.
