Learn about the 5 D’s, which are 5 strategies for bystander intervention

This session will share with members and leaders the equipment that is available to reserve for 4-H events that will make our program more accessible to youth and leaders with mobility challenges and provide a background on how to make our programming more inclusive for anyone in attendance. We will discuss American Sign Language (ASL) and teach the 4-H Pledge in ASL. It will be a beginner course for thinking through how we make everyone feel like the belong.

In this session, participants will learn about how play-therapy techniques are used to help young people engage in STEM projects with less anxiety and more success. We will focus on LEGO Serious Play facilitation techniques in a broader LEGO robotics program. Participants can expect to build and share their LEGO brick creations (about 45 minutes) and spend about 30 minutes getting an introduction to robotics coding.
