As part of the CAS program students will undertake a CAS project of at least one month’s duration or 20 hours, that challenges students to show initiative, demonstrate perseverance, and develop skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Students use the CAS stages (investigation, preparation, action, reflection and demonstration) as a framework for CAS experiences and the CAS project. The 'CAS stages' are another form of the design cycle. You may be more familiar with this image.
Before beginning a CAS project a student must complete and upload the CAS Project Form part of your proposed CAS Activity record.
The CAS project can be a single strand however the IB emphasizes the desire that it be two or more strands.
The CAS project is personal, intentional and planned by the student.
