Hello Friends!
I grew up in Leeds, Maine and attended Leavitt Area High School. My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2010. Back in High school, I obtained my Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and have been working in healthcare since I was 16! Prior to becoming your full-time School Nurse this year [2019], I've worked as a labor and delivery nurse, certified lactation counselor, postpartum/childbirth educator, school nurse substitute for 2 different districts [9 schools PreK-12], psych nurse and summer camp nurse.
I am so honored to be a part of such a wonderful and caring community. I currently reside locally with my high school sweetheart husband, two children, two dogs [Bruin and Sadie], one cat [Autumn] and many chickens.
It is my goal here at WGS to keep our children healthy, safe, in school, and ready to learn. I truly believe that communication is key, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.
The transition to school nursing has been amazing. I would like to thank you all for welcoming me into your community and allowing me to take care of your children.
