Both the NC Kids Digital and Level Up Libraries are sponsored by NCPLDA: NC Public Library Directors Association, NCGA: NC General Assembly, with assistance from the State Library of North Carolina and supported by an IMLS federal LSTA grant. NC Kids Digital is powered by OverDrive.
⚠️ A Note About Public Library Access in Sora
While the Sora app does allow users to connect with public library collections using a personal library card, this feature is not available through Wilson County Schools accounts for neither students nor staff.
This decision helps ensure that all content accessed through school accounts is curated for age appropriateness and reviewed for alignment with our district’s standards. Public library collections, while robust, may include materials that are not tailored to specific student age groups or school-level expectations.
If you wish to explore additional reading options through the public library, you may do so independently using a personal device and library card login, outside of the school-managed Sora environment.
