Now, as 4th graders, you will continue to learn how to manage your time with homework each week. These assignments will come home in a packet at the end of each week and will be due at the end of the following week. These assignments are meant to be review and a brief at home practice-- less than 40 minutes per night. Homework should NOT feel difficult or overwhelming. If it does, please come see me and we will figure out a plan together!Â
As your homework is only due once a week, it is your responsibility to make time for it at home throughout the week. To help you keep track of these assignments and plan your time wisely, we have created a check list as a cover. We will not start this all at once, but introduce and practice it over the first month or so of school. Hopefully this gives you a better sense of the homework expectations!
In addition to the weekly homework, throughout the year there will be special assignments and projects, such as writing birthday cards for your friends and completing monthly cultural show and shares, which will have individual due dates.
If you misplace or forget your homework, it is your responsibility to come talk to me about it so we can practice problem solving together. Be proactive and ask for help when you need it!
