This week Smart Grid for Schools visited the Romona Library. Smart Grid is a traveling exhibit funded by the Illinois Science and Energy Innovation Foundation and operated by Illinois State University. Romona 4th grade students are currently studying electricity and through the exhibit they had the opportunity to learn about Smart Grid technology and experienced electricity firsthand. In addition, the Romona PTA sponsored an Open Library and Technology Night. Several 4th grade students were leaders and guided younger students and their families through the exhibits.
