The objective of Wire Choir is to support students that need an extra challenge beyond Hawk Orchestra. Wire Choir music often includes key or meter changes within a piece, and students utilize the skills of shifting and vibrato in their playing. Students work with scales up through three sharps and flats. Typically, students in Wire Choir take private lessons and have previous experience on their instrument before coming to Highcrest.
All students in Wire Choir also play with the Hawk Orchestra.
Instruction
In addition to attending Hawk Orchestra rehearsals, students will attend a Wire Choir rehearsal.
