Rewilding Collective Q&A
The Rewilding Collective Group is a small, nature-based program designed to support grounding, reflection, and reconnection with yourself, with community, and with the more-than-human world. We meet outdoors and pull from Joanna Macy's work that reconnects, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Mary Oliver, and other voices of wisdom. This is an experiential group that allows for solo time and group participation.
This group is a good fit for people who:
Identify as a therapist, helper, healer, caregiver or teacher
feel burnt out, overstimulated, or stuck in “go mode.”
want consistent time outdoors with gentle structure
open to community and new connections
are navigating stress, grief, climate anxiety, or a life transition
have space in your schedule to commit to a Friday morning group for 6 weeks
No. This group is not psychotherapy and it does not create a therapist-client relationship. It’s an educational and experiential program that offers supportive practices in an outdoor setting. If you’re looking for therapy or need crisis support, I’m happy to help you find appropriate resources.
This is a small group (typically 5–10 participants) to keep the space grounded and connected.
For this 6 week group, the total is $500. This can be paid in a single installment or in two installments if needed.
There are also a few reduced-rate spots available to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, individuals, students or caregivers. This rate is $300
On the registration form, you can specify what you need.
Full reimbursement up to 2 weeks before the program begins
50% reimbursement up to 1 week before the program begins
No reimbursement once the program begins
Life happens. You’re welcome to return the following week. Because the group is experiential and relational, there aren’t make-up sessions, but you’ll still be able to participate fully when you’re back. I just asked when people sign up, they can commit to at least 4 out of the 6 groups.
Usually no (for allergy, safety, and group-focus reasons). If a location allows it and it’s a service animal, that’s different. Reach out, and we’ll coordinate.
Each week, you will receive an email with articles, videos, or recommended podcasts. These suggestions will pair with the week's theme and it's strongly encouraged you engage with the material. There will be required readings as well as bonus, suggested readings, so you'll have the option to dig deeper if you so desire.
We meet outdoors in the Austin area. The specific location(s) and parking details are shared with registered participants.
water
comfortable walking shoes
weather layers (hat/sunscreen; rain layer if needed)

any medications you might need outdoors (inhaler, EpiPen, etc.)

We choose locations with restroom access whenever possible. Details for the specific site (and nearest options) will be included in the welcome email.
We’ll meet in a range of conditions, but we’ll adjust for safety. Sessions may be modified, shortened, relocated, or canceled for lightning, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions. You’ll get an update with the plan the night before.
